ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester woman has pleaded guilty to conversion and unlawful conveyance of government money after allegedly hiding her dead boyfriend in his basement and continuing to collect his social security benefits.

The victim’s body stayed there from December 2022 to September 2023, while Stone collected nearly $8,000 in social security benefits meant for the victim. Stone recertified the victim’s SNAP benefits and stated the victim still lived with her — earning Stone more than $1,000 she was not entitled to.
