Just an observation but I feel within the past year, that sub is dominated by links from the daily beast.
I know Reddit is kinda trash at this point but I still occasionally browse but I absolutely cannot stand that rag of a media website. Their headlines are attention grabbing clickbait IMO.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed. I haven’t crunched any numbers or anything because I don’t really even give that much of a crap.
I have now noticed retroactively. Kept seeing it show up and everyone in the comments bitching about it but never thought much of it, but now that you mention it is very obvious. Next imma look at the profile of who made the post to see if they are AI. It’s how r/conservative and r/worldnews are. Everyone that makes a post there as an account that’s less than a couple years old, has a generic default username, and barely posts anywhere else.
I don’t check there so could only theorize. But in the line of potential flooding, or at least when a given site is specially bothersome to the user, I wish more sites allowed blocking posts that link to specific domains.
