I think this is a great idea and I go over and look at it every now and then but the type of content I watch on youtube is not just on peertube yet.

I have wondered how the community would react if someone would start syncing popular YT content to PT. though it would be “illegal”, it might the the push for some viewers to release their grip from YT and allow content creators to see a better path.

Yes, as someone who watches a lot of technology or retrocomputing content. There is a decent amount of crossover there. @veronicaexplains@tilvids.com , @rees@makertube.net , though surprisingly I haven’t found @ActionRetro@bitbang.social. Without Sean on PeerTube, there just isn’t enough totally normal computing for an e-waste connoisseur.

But if your interest lie out of that narrow niche, it’s a bit of a content desert.

edit It’s up to the communities moderator @AbnormalHumanBeing@lemmy.world. But a post linked in the sidebar or stickied. Containing a list of YouTube content creators and their peertube accounts. Or just notable peer tube content creators would be a great way to get people on boarded. I’m thinking of doing something similar for my communities.

That’s fair. I’ve been following people not content lately. Its been working out.
