Haha yeah that’s a tough one! I’m in Colorado where Colorado potatoes are almost as ubiquitous as Idaho potatoes, so honestly lucked out there.
As an American mine is Europe/Canada > the rest of the developed world OR blue states > Mexico > other countries > red states. It’s surprisingly easy to avoid food from red states. For tech/online services I prefer European over everywhere else.
I use Inleed and I’m really happy with them. It’s a Swedish company with servers in Sweden and France. My WordPress site was super easy to set up through them. Hosting is as cheap as €2/month and you can buy your domain through them too.
If I lived in Europe and was looking to buy a new phone, I’d consider getting a Fairphone (Dutch) pre-installed with /e/OS (French degoogled OS).
My favorite gum is Swedish and made by Flux. It contains fluoride. It’s usually sold in pharmacies in Sweden and you might find it in the other Nordic countries as well as in Germany. I live in the US and have family in Sweden, so every time I visit I take a bunch of Flux gum back to the states.
Absolutely avoid traveling to the US if you don’t have to, but New York and New Orleans aren’t total dumps as portrayed by these cherry picked images. I’ll also point out that residents of both those cities overwhelmingly oppose Trump and vote heavily Democratic. And New Prague? Never heard of it!
I’m in the US and a store a few minutes away sells Keogh’s chips which are Irish. My girlfriend is crazy about them so I buy a bag every time I go there.
