Josha Stradowski should get a razzi for the worst acting ever performed on screen. Wooden. The problem I had overall was that it seemed like the writers were really drawing out the material. I was so bored at times, and I am a HUGE fantasy genre fan. The fact it didn’t get a proper ending (mostly because it took so long to progress) was another knifing. It deserved to die, sadly.

I love these kind, a complete horror.

The reviews are all over the place and the negative ones have convinced me I will not be spending my dollars going to see it, a streamer.

I am watching Almost Human (2013-2014), can’t believe I missed this one. I love Karl Urban and he doesn’t let me down in this series. JJ Abrams is the producer, each episode has the feel of a movie plot, well done. I can’t believe there is only one season of this given all the crap shows they keep renewing.

Can’t wait for S02, loved this one.

Oh Murderbot is awesome, love his sarcastic, hating everyone persona. So funny, and the captain is a hot mess with heart, one of my favs.

This looks good. I love Maggie Q, she is always the best. On the list!

Same, I keep saying I will get around to watching S02. I didn’t quite click with S01, on the fence, but a huge sci-fi nerd. I will have to load it up soon and see if I get hooked.

She was the best, especially when her character turned into a raging drunk. I love this series.

There is drama, backstories and character development, and then there is long-drawn out dramatic dwelling into a character or characters. We started to see this with the love triangle in S02 with Ellie/Dina/Jessie…ZZZzzzzzzzZZZzzzzz. Guaranteed, if this series continues, they will switch up the love interest over and over, much like TWD and much like a soap opera.

Any post-apocalyptic subject matter, tbh. I agree, the TWD zombies were kind of wooden and had little to no progression built in, but still, the over-the-top melodrama existed.

Exactly. Unfold the mystery of the infected, their hierarchy, all that is exciting …and scary. Nope, they, and I am looking at Walking Dead also, always pivot to drawn out character drama, most of which is unnecessary, basically low effort screen writing.

They are correct in a few points, the end of one of the main characters was a let-down. But a show can live on from that, sadly, the turnaround for me wasn’t so palatable. They did point out that the end of season one, when they got to a “safe space,” felt story ending. It did, but then instead of that micro focus on the two characters, it went straight into macro character development with many characters. It was a sludge-fest, a soap opera melodrama, less about the infected (not even shown in the last ep of season 2, sigh.) I have no plans of watching season 3.

Right? I can’t believe people actually pay for these services. Oh well, I guess someone has to. 🏴‍☠️
