  • “President Xi was willing to do the railroad things—that’s magnets,” he said. “Now, nobody knows what a magnet is. If you don’t have a magnet, you don’t have a car. You don’t make a computer, you don’t make, er, televisions and radios and all the other things—you don’t make anything."

That’s exactly what it is. Could’ve been stated a little more clearly but this is a completely coherent statement. The man does a dozen deplorable things a day, are we really that starved for headlines that this is what we’re reporting on?

Almost convinced that his administration is paying for these articles so people will look at them and complaints about the Epstein files as equally valid.

  • DIY-ers unite!

I’m 100% gonna use all of those niche, one-off cables. Maybe just the connector will be useful…

That little metal bracket thingy? Uh, I don’t remember what it was for… or actually I do but I don’t have that thing anymore… But if I end up making something similar in size, I’ve already got a bracket!

Was this the box of good parts, or the box of bad parts? Eh, I don’t have time to test right now, better just keep both boxes… (followed by, "why isn’t this working? I just swapped in new parts…)

Ah, this completely useless thing I made! Ha! How foolish I was to think this would ever serve it’s intended purpose. I’d better keep it to remind myself how dumb I was.

  • You are the superuser, telling the computer to do the restricted action in a privileged state. For example maybe there’s a read-only file you want to delete; is you just type rm <directory> it would tell you access denied, if you use sudo rm <directory> you get what you want.

So in your username, it really just depends on if whoever is reading it thinks you’re the user, or the computer. I personally didn’t read it from any particular perspective, I just thought it was referencing the joke command with no target in particular.
