After removing the data files it seems to being updated via clearnet but it showed 1% after an hour and then dropped again to 0%.

Now I suspect there is something wrong here, probably because a bad previous update.

You can use those services with this wallet too, gaining less attack surface and no spying possible within the wallet.

Cake is not better.

Monero is the digital hedge to bitcoin bear markets like gold is the same to stocks. You can think what’s gonna happen when people realizes they don’t even need to return.
