Missing the what?

Excel is indeed super powerful. I’ve seen firsthand what they power in multiple Fortune 500 companies, and usually for a lot of critical tasks. It doesn’t surprise me in the least that this company was using it for finances.

Seems biased… What’s that logo they’re trying to hide in the top-right?

I don’t think this is a case of trying to make more money. From what I understood, it’s an unintended consequence of accessibility rules coming into place. Ironically, a law that is meant to promote inclusion, will ultimately make the books less accessible.
