Personally I don’t forward ports for anything that only I am supposed to access (such as SSH). Instead I connect to my home network via VPN and establish the connection from the inside. I just have an allow all from the VPN subnet to my main one, but you could also allow things selectively if you don’t want everything accessible via VPN. Using the VPN has the added bonus of ensuring everything is going through a secure tunnel if I’m connecting from a public network.

It’s highly regarded for a reason. If you’re on iPhone you can get a one month trial for Apple Arcade and play it for free, but it’s worth 10€ imo. It’s a good game in it’s own right, but it’s also one of very few mobile games that are not monetised beyond the initial purchase, well suited to touch controls and short play sessions and are actually fun.

To me it seems like a thing that sounds kinda cool on paper, but is not actually that useful in practice. We already have the ability to do real time translations or point the camera at something to get more information via AI with our smartphones, but who actually uses that on the regular? It’s just not useful or accurate enough in its current state and having it always available as a HUD isn’t going to change that imo. Being able to point a camera at something and have AI tell me “that’s a red bicycle” is a cool novelty the first few times, but I already knew that information just by looking at it. And if I’m trying to communicate with someone in a foreign language using my phone to translate for me, I’ll just feel like a dork.

It’s kinda sad really that reddit mods get a power trip from banning people when reddit accounts are disposable unless you care about karma for some reason. I got banned site wide and from various subs multiple times and it would only take a few minutes to be up and running again with a new account. I even had a script to transfer over my subscriptions. Never got done for ban evasion either, despite having a static IP address. It got to the point where I’d create a new account at least once a month even if I wasn’t banned just to have a clean slate.

I don’t think the issue is really immigration at all. It’s that working class people are being squeezed harder and harder and no party, including the AfD, seems to take it seriously. The AfD is just good at populism and pretending they have a solution by blaming it on immigration and selling themselves as less corrupt and incompetent than the others, while actually being just as bad or worse. If the CDU and SPD in particular hadn’t allowed things to get this bad while spending decades in power, the AfD’s populism wouldn’t have fallen on fertile ground.

And there is also an argument to be made that the media has dropped the ball by allowing the AfD on talkshows and debates without sufficiently pushing back and calling out their bullshit and thus allowing them to paint themselves as a legitimate alternative despite being fascists that are found to be at odds with the constitution (Grundgesetz) time and time again.

Also the AfD is probably the best out of all the parties at social media.

These parties are here to stay unless the establishment parties take the Denmark approach and become more anti immigration.

This is exactly what has been happening in Germany (most notably with the CDU and SPD) and it’s not working. All that happens when these parties take on AfD talking point is that their voters no longer want to vote for them while the AfD’s positions get normalised in the mainstream.

What they actually should do is stop picking uninspiring and corrupt candidates and push for things that would actually benefit the working class (wealth tax, tackling the housing crisis, etc.) instead of funneling more wealth upwards. At the end of the day the AfD is strong because people are struggling to make ends meet and the AfD is using the racism that’s always been present in Germany to offer them an easy scapegoat.

Can someone who rides unicycles say how hard this would be? As a road cyclist I’m thinking 1:1 gear ratio is an easy climbing gear, but I’m guessing it’s not that simple.

That being said, I was 100% I didn’t want kids when I was your age. Now I’m 37 and trying to have kids. Obviously that doesn’t mean you’ll change your mind, but it can happen.

Type F is also shuttered (at least in modern installations), no metal is exposed if it’s only inserted half way because it is recessed and many plugs are also sheathed. Fuses in plugs are unnecessary, because there are circuit breakers (which also allow you to turn off the power to individual parts of the home if you’re installing a lamp fitting or something). They also work with tumble dryers and the plugs are also generally right angled and stick out no further than a type G.

Additionally the plugs are compatible with many other standards, non grounded plugs can be very compact, making things like USB chargers much smaller. And they won’t impale your foot if you step on them.
