Main suggestions: pick a distro on your priorities (starting with arch is a meme for a reason, most people just want a computer that just does what they want easily, Linux can do that nowadays and you’ll have the freedom to mess around with terminal if you want) and keep in mind you may need to do some things a little differently like using a different program, but unless you’re using cad it’s unlikely to be an issue

But they already exist. My state constitution has a prohibition on recognition of gay marriages. These laws won’t stay nullified and have to be reestablished. And much like we see with abortion they’re going to next go for a nationwide ban.

And some of these people just completely failed to see the similarities.

Like, some of the transphobic caricatures that have gone around over the years should’ve rung alarm bells in the minds of even people who don’t like us. They look like cartoons by A Wyatt Mann or other openly nazi cartoonists.

I’d like people to like us and believe us to be valuable members of their communities and societies. But I’ll settle for an understanding that opposing us hinders everyone’s freedoms and that some of those who stand against us wouldn’t like the people next to them
