Pretty widely understood at my last two companies to mean something like “looking into this” or “taking a look.” Basically just a quick acknowledgment to let the person asking the question know that they can probably expect a response from that person soon, and lets others know that someone’s already on it so we don’t duplicate effort.
I always assumed this was a common usage on Slack.
I always go back to that early coronavirus briefing where a reporter questioned his authority to dictate state government lockdown policies and he just sat there stunned, repeating “when you’re the president your authority is total because you have total authority, it’s total…” It’s been clear for years that this fucking guy never understood the job description, and rather than learning anything from experience, he’s having it rewritten. The constitution isn’t going to save us from that.
I switched to Jellyfin recently and I mostly prefer it over Plex, except for lack of organization tools and the goddamn roulette wheel that is seeking. Why is it that seeking defaults to 30 second intervals, requires a click to confirm, and occasionally just jumps to some random point near the beginning of the file? Great software overall, but it’s wild to me that this basic playback functionality is so hit or miss.

First season was decent, but after a certain point the cognitive load required to keep track of the timeline(s) and character relationships just made it feel exhausting and not fun to watch.

I can only speak for Unraid, but I would imagine admin time is basically nil for any dedicated NAS distro if all you want is to store files. <10 minutes from scratch to install and boot, create an array and enable a share.
I run it on an NVIDIA Shield. Can’t speak to any others with certainty, but from a quick search, there are guides for installing on Fire Stick and ONN devices too.
I suspect it’ll run on just about any Android or Google TV device as long as the default launcher setting isn’t locked down, and even then you can probably enable it with a couple quick ADB commands.
Not true, unless by “build yourself” you mean install Projectivy Launcher on any Android box that supports it.
I think the disconnect here is a lot of people buy the “lifetime” Plex Pass, which is a one-time cost and not a subscription. Saying “X feature will be locked behind a subscription” implies some new pricing model and leaves users who paid a one-time cost years ago wondering if it’s time to look for an alternative or if they’re completely unaffected.
“a subscription” is ambiguous as to whether it’s being locked behind the existing Plex Pass or some new/additional subscription model. The title could have more accurately stated that remote streaming is becoming a Plex Pass feature. As is, Plex Pass users (many of whom bought the lifetime pass years ago,) can’t tell from the title whether this is a new subscription cost or if they’re completely unaffected.
“Clickbait” might be a little harsh, but I get where they’re coming from.
Does Vivaldi not just use the Chrome store for extensions? Also, aren’t they losing manifest V2 as soon as it’s dropped from Chromium in a few more months?
The League of Legends launcher used it at one point. Not sure if it still does.
