The new Online Safety Act over there. They make you scan your face and follow instructions (step forward, turn left, open your mouth, etc.) to access a lot of websites now. It’s creepy, and something similar seems to be being pushed in every western country simultaneously now.

I do have a fondness for old rock/metal from that era too and am pretty happy with it, so maybe that’s a green light!

I truly think stuff like this is important. Developing an appreciation and personal connection to cultural touchstones of the past is like a history lesson and familiarizes you with the life experiences of your parents/grandparents/etc.

What is happening in the UK in the last year or so? I keep seeing crazy headlines like this every so often.

The online safety act requiring ID, police showing up at old people’s houses for their Facebook/twitter posts, or that one time someone suggested they would try to extradite Americans for the same thing. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?

I dealt with something similar with Discord once. It was infuriating. These companies often contract out this type of responsibility, and nobody has any incentive to care or spend any time with any individual case, so you can just be completely cut off.
