Don’t, but it’s worth considering the source. The Guardian while it does lean a little to the left, it is a mainstream news-source with a huge audience, and it has broken some major international news stories in the past.

Oh, well, then I digress and in that case

[edit]AI slop?
definitely AI slop. check out the fingers and the messed up details on the shoulder. Also, What kind of engine looks like that?

I think we give Russia too much credit. I didn’t even see it mentioned in the article but I did see “Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and the nondescript Eastern Europe.” A lot of countries are in Eastern Europe.

I always thought she was anorexic.
The movie Mean Girls (2004) did a pretty good summary of the different kinds of home-schooled kids in the first few minutes of the movie.

That wasn’t a study AFAIK it was the official report from the U.S. Department Of Education. -The department run by the spouse of a professional wrestling magnate.

I had a high school teacher my freshman year play the “dihydrogen monoxide” joke on our class. this was before i had any chemistry knowledge so i sadly fell for it. -It was still funny.

“June 2025 BLS data reveals dramatic differences in the percentage of ghost jobs across industries: Government roles: 60% Education and health services: 50% Information: 48% Finance: 44% Leisure and hospitality: 2% Construction: -44% (more hires than openings)”
leisure, hospitality, and construction . You’ll find a job as long as you’ve got a pulse. -That checks out.

Yes, the police said he fell down an elevator shaft. Onto some bullets.
Clinton gutted welfare and his administration also oversaw the repeal of the Glass-Steagull act. Obama and Biden built the cages that house many of the immigrants currently. Biden was the self-declared tough-on-crime senator that gave harsh sentences for drug violations while also being one of the architects of the current student debt situation. what does a lumber mill import so much of that tariffs causes it to shut down? -If they’re importing raw wood, then that just seemed irresponsible to start with.

A slimy individual that squirmed his way into many prestigious political positions and was well regarded amongst the liberal establishment. Jon Stewart interviewed him when his show was appleTV

Well, of course. When else has the act of sending our refuse abroad for processing ever backfired? I figured the lack of safety and regulation was the main feature why we did it.

“…more like chewed out. I’ve been chewed out before.”

I had to look up Lebanon, Indiana. Is it a dangerous shithole with a population of 16,000 people
I grew up there, and the answer is no. It’s just another conservative exurb of Indianapolis. Also, this happened in Whitestown which is substantially smaller than Lebanon, the county seat.
John Oliver is currently auctioning off LBJ’s balls!

Everything you said except for the last paragraph. We did fine for close to a century without traffic cams when it was up to a cop to catch a violator in the act. now it’s surveillance cameras and A.I. that’s automated the task and I consider akin to the police cheating at their jobs, yet somehow we still justify their ever-increasing budgets. -How does that not end up as a totalitarian police-state?

Replace the cameras with dummy cameras, because like you said “It doesn’t happen anymore.”
where did you see that in the article?
