That “high trust” is only because the government hides a lot of information from them where in a free country it would be discussed in public. The government heavily controls what information is available, what topics can be discussed and what opinions are allowed.

That to me seems like micromanager issue more than an issue with thr software. There are plenty of good managers and teams where they get great benefit from being able to at a glance see if you’re in office that day. In every team ive worked in its expected to update your status to display where you are working.

I’d like to not have to update my status as often and have it update automatically, save everyone a bit of hassle.

If we think about the bad micromanager situation a bit more without this they might be less comfortable with the idea of having people work from home so giving them this info helps them keep track better which allows them to give their team the freedom to remotely work.

The manager should know if you are at home or in the office. I cant think of a reason why that information would be out of the ordinary.

Why are we pretending like someone working hybrid needs to hide their office status during work hours? Its not a privacy issue for your work to know where you are while you’re working for them.

Plus there is already a ton of ways your employer gets this data its not like any new ground is being broken here.

The only people who paved the way for trump were the people who didnt vote against trump and the right wing media machine. There is no looking at the two platforms and think its a hard choice. If your values lean left the choice is easy.

If you aren’t leveraging this to get political power back from Republicans then there is no point in the protest. Its not a revolution, its to drum up anti trump sentiment then directed into the mid terms to remove republicans from power.

Nah i dont agree. There are 10000s of jobs available in most places so I dont buy that. You may have to take a paycut or work a harder job but the option is there in most cases. You can always start your own little business.

Morally questionable is different that fundamental ethical disagreement. I feel that these are places you cannot work at. You’d be completely comprising your values which is fine you can technically still hold those values but it makes your values meaningless.

It would be like me saying that I’m against factory farming then working at a factory farm 40hr a week doing the exact thing I’m supposedly against. I’d have to ask myself am I really against this. Or working for ice under the trump admin. You have to admit that your value is meaningless there because when faced with the choice your values crumbed.

I have no problem just sitting down with nothing to do. I bring a book or go on my phone so that I dont waste my time starring into space dreaming.

I have a 30min bus ride to and from work its perfect for reading or listening to music or steamdeck. Most of the time i just do nothing but gaze out the window.

With these tiktok trends and ‘stop scrolling’ videos Im happy they are feeling the effects of social media and actually taking action.

I wouldnt have the issue because i wouldnt take a job if it crossed my ethical or moral lines. You always have a choice.

I’m shocked at how many people are saying its fine. The options aren’t work at a place or starve. Why are we acting like there are no decent businesses and acting like you can’t start your own. Most companies arent bad, they just do standard boring everyday services.

You dont live in lockheedville where the only employer is Lockheed and they force you to design more efficient killchains or you’ll starve and die.
