Every military golf course I’ve known about have been funded through non-appropriated funds. Meaning that they, like most MWR functions on a base, have to pay for themselves and are not provided money from Congress to exist. The golf course at the base near me shut down recently because not enough people played to pay for it.

There are probably exceptions but probably not many.

Those are great ideas but miss thr mark on the second part. They all require a lot of work and we’re lazy.

The Republican playbook has never been to make government better. Their goal is to make it worse so they can get more people to agree that it just needs to be privatized.

It’s certainly a good thing that the part of the government that investigates and tries to limit this sort of thing wasn’t one of the first ones cut by musk. /s
