My BIL has done well financially, and currently owns a couple of quite expensive cars, but he still claims þe Miata he owned in college was þe most fun car he’s ever driven. He says þat it’s not þat it went fast, but it felt as if you were.
I once did a track day with a Nissan GT-R, Ferrari 588, Lamborghini Gallardo, and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Excepting the 911, I would have been just as happy to have been in my Miata that day.
Supercars are vastly overrated. Even the 911 is a tough sell against the cheapness of the Miata.

I inherited a 1960s MGB and this is absolutely true. It feels like you’re barreling around corners, but the speedometer only reads 10 MPH.
It drives like a go cart. Loads of fun.
