Just because their awful people and bad christians doesn’t make them not-christians. it makes they shitty people and shitty christians. Remember, according to their scriptures, the only necessary quality is to attain a state of grace by reciting a magical incantation. That’s it.
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. Hell, the dad of one of my classmates on HS, also a Christian priest, would beat, torment and even rape his wife when enraged, and would flagellate his back bloody as a sign of contrition to her and their god.
Few weeks would pass, and she would make “one mistake”, and the cycle of violence would begin again. Hell, I only know this because he ran away and stayed at my house for a few weeks, until his mom finally presented charges and got him out of the house.
