The title is a bit misleading, as the article lists diverging analysts’ opinions, ranging from Valve willing to sell at a loss or low margins, to high prices due to RAM and SSD price volatility.

Wasn’t the OG steam controller $50 ?
Yeah, it was. So it had more features than most controllers at the time and I think was still cheaper.
I got the steam link for ~$10 but that was after it was discontinued.
