The two biggest fantasy TV shows are officially in post-production on their new seasons. Just after the cast and crew wrapped filming on House of the Dragon sea
I disagree about awful. They’ve delivered two mediocre seasons so far. Which is to say some storylines have been awful, but some storylines have been great.
I really enjoyed the Celebrimbor storyline last season for example.
Yeah that’s exactly how I tried approaching it. I wanted to watch Fallout, Rings of Power and something else. But, before I could ever do, I just end my Prime subscription.
Mine just ended in September.
I plan on buying a month subscription to watch the Mighty Nein cartoon, but Amazon is no longer getting the yearly fee out of me.
Because they know that die-hard middle-earth fans want something to watch that’s middle-earth related since the LOTR movies and Hobbit movies have long been done. Least until they decide to reboot both of them like 20 or more years down the line.
Not sure why they are bothering after churning out two awful seasons so far.
Enjoyed both. I feel like they did great for season 2. I’m happy so far with the product. I must be the minority. But I enjoy it.

When writing my comment I nearly said mediocre but then changed it. Mediocre felt generous to me.
It’s probably being funded by all the tech bro Tolkien “fans” in Silicon Valley.
Nah, It’s really not nearly as bad as some of the true believers want it to be.
Season 2 was much better IMO, though that’s just that*: my opinion lol
The source material was already gonna be a clusterfuck to deal with, and they are doing “OK” interpreting.
Edit: spelling
We started the first season. But kept forgetting to keep watching it. Now we cancelled prime. Maybe some day we will watch it all.

Fellowship of the Ring (the movie) turns 25 next year. I’m shocked that there isn’t a reboot in the works already.
Maybe there will be a TV series adaptation if the Harry Potter show performs well.
Something something sunk cost fallacy.
