$27,306 is such an insultingly low fine for a mans death and these fucking bastards appealed it and didn’t fix their safety issues. Fuck the owner of this company
They should be shutting these companies down and sending owners to prison for their negligence.
The meatpacking industry has some of the highest rates of workplace injuries compared to most industries. Not to mention the immense physiological toll it puts on top of it all with workers getting high rates of PTSD, depression, etc.
