Alexander Tyunin, chief executive of a Russian carbon fiber and composites company affiliated with state nuclear giant Rosatom, was discovered dead on Thursday near his car in the Moscow region.

A hunting rifle and a note referencing long-term depression were found nearby.

Authorities say they are treating the case as a possible suicide.

    Ballistics reports indicate that he shot himself at a distance of roughly 400 meters. He then walked backwards to the location of the rifle in a pair of someone else’s boots and clumsily signed the note before expiring. Very sad.
