I agree, the closest thing I can liken it to is to refer to them as additional entries to an anthology; but even then it’s not quite correct/succinct enough.
Anthology implies that the episodes/seasons are independent. That works for stuff like Black Mirror which had a gap of four years, but it doesn’t work for story driven shows. I suppose the term “series” could work, it’s already used by some shows like Doctor Who, but that term does double duty as it’s also used to talk about shows in general. Installment could also work.
