I know the easy card to say is well It’s just racism. But there has to be another reason on why so many countries are doing it. Are the countries just claiming they can’t afford it meaning it’s a financial issue to have so many immigrants? Is that a lot of the Afghans were not doing their immigration paperwork, Or not showing up to immigration appointments?
What are these countries claiming is happening as to why so many from Afghanistan are getting deported?
I mean, just because the US are doing something stupid doesn’t mean England and other countries need to.

Germany most recently. As far as I can see, it’s due to the rise in nationalism and anti-immigration policies. It’s absolutely terrible to watch especially knowing what’s going to happen to most of those people being forced back…
One big factor in pushbacks like this is the classification of the country in terms of refugee status. People coming from another country only pass as “refugees” if certain conditions are fulfilled in that country, like war, famine, human rights violations, femicide, etc. This was the cases for Afghanistan for a long time (and still is arguably) but Germany and other governments decided that the conditions arent so bad anymore and that people arent technically “refugees” now anymore and can be pushed back without having to fear for their lives. As soon as one government does it, others will follow so that could have created a seemingly sudden increase in deportations. Dont take my word for it tho, im not 100% sure what the current classification is and when it changed. Just trying to give you an idea of how this generally works.

A religion that considers public music and dancing as inexcusable sinning worthy of terror attacks and religious protesting is NOT COMPATIBLE with a secular state. That’s just two of dozens of examples.
Europe kicked christianity’s multiple theocracies out for the same assholery. They don’t want it replaced with another asshole religion telling everyone what to do. Nobody does.

Are they only deporting Muslim Afghans, or all Afghans?
I believe that it’s unlikely that many people outside of Afghanistan will ever meet an Afghan that isn’t a Muslim.
Almost the entire Afghan population is Muslim, with less than 1% being non-Muslim.

Perhaps there are Muslim women being deported, who would only be oppressed and kept in a bubble in Afghanistan, but would have the opportunity to break free and control their own lives if in the West?
You can’t be sent back if there’s a legitimate threat to your life waiting for you. Like being a woman in bad standing with her family, or being gay. It happens anyway sometimes of course, and people do lie sometimes. Although I have a hard time seeing a devout Muslim being in a committed gay relationship just for a visa/citizenship.
Personally I dislike the influx of religious cultists, since we’ve worked really hard for the last 50-70 years to free ourselves from the oppression and violence that the sick Cult of Yahweh has brought us throughout history.
I agree religion needs to be abolished, I’m just not sure that deporting people to another country where they will have less secular influences is a good way to do that.
I fully agree with you. I would however like to see better protection for children from these sects. No child should be allowed to suffer genital mutilation in order to mark them as members of the cult for example. Only one party in my country has suggested this, and quickly changed their mind when Yahweh cultists threatened violence and at the same time claimed victimhood over the thought of not being allowed to physically abuse their children.

IIRC somebody (Trump or Biden maybe) declared Afghanistan a safe state after the US military left, or to justify its departure.
That and a rise in far-right populist fear- and hatemonmgering anti-immigration policy in many countries. Like Germany.

The flimsy excuse is that the war is over so Afghanistan is “safe” now. The real reason is of course racism and xenophobia.

Well in Pakistan, the reason was the ttp primarily (amongst other political reasons).
But Pakistan is in a very unique position, different to any other.
