…but is there the infrastructure to handle this? Octopus energy has recently added a ticker to the top of their website to show how much money has been wasted on turning off wind turbines.

    Yeah, without the grid scale energy storage, this is little more than green washing. I think we should utilise the UK portfolio of wind turbines as close as 100% as possible before building any more.

      They do address energy storage in the full plan e.g.:
