Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram after the Department of Homeland Security suggested they may pursue arrests of three Democratic lawmakers who partook in a protest outside of an ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), Rob Menendez (D-NJ) and LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) all attended the protest.
I look at these types of comments with complete contempt. You have no idea what I’ve done and I don’t plan on posting about it publicly.
You are asking me to risk my life and well being. You said “WE” should be rioting. That means YOU too.
Yes I can ask who you are to do such a thing and what you have given up. I can ask when you rioted and are rioting. You are the one who threw down the gauntlet.
You are saying “we should be doing something right now why aren’t we?” and you get mad when I say “well, are you serious?”
