This seems misleading since no timespan is given, but even assuming 100% accuracy this would only matter if we were currently adding farmland at unprecedented rates to multiple places that cannot handle having more water being used.

A good blog post about it the other day, obviously a few caveats comparing metrics like this but it’s good enough to get a grasp that on a nation wide scale water usage isn’t really a problem. It can however affect local communities with bad data center placement (similar to agriculture)
