Fedora is developed by the community, so I wouldn’t worry too much, but, in case; I asked about this before tl:dr; if you care about it being beginner friendly, go for Linux Mint. if european & privacy is important, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. i’d also go for the GNOME one, that’s more customisable.
