But more importantly, with the unison principle it’s so, so easy to sabotage the EU, as you only need to influence a single country as foreign actor. Which is just what China, Russia and USA are exploiting. The latter literally wrote it down in their national security strategy: “let’s buy out Hungary or Austria, they’re easy targets, and thus prohibit advancement of the European Union”.
