President Trump announced on Friday that he had selected Kevin M. Warsh, a conservative economist and former Federal Reserve official, as the next chairman of the central bank. Mr. Warsh, if confirmed by the Senate, would replace Jerome H. Powell, who has faced a barrage attacks from the Trump administration over the bank’s reluctance to more aggressively cut interest rates.

    Powell’s term ends in May, so this is relatively normal.

    And once confirmed the new chair would still be independent.

    A capable dictator would pick an unqualified yes man, but trump is going with Warsh who is a piece of shit, but “old school Republican” piece of shit that existed before trump and has plans for after Trump as well.

    He’s not just gonna do what trump asks, unless there’s some huge blackmail on him.
