On a clear day I like to drive the coastal road on my way home and catch a glimpse of Moloka’i on the horizon. On an especially clear day I can see Lāna’i. On those days I’m reminded that Larry Ellison owns that entire island and I get angry.
I’m curious what it means to own an island like that. What happens if someone approaches? There seems to me to be a lot of fun to be had with that if you got a big enough group together. Do you think there are guards for the island? Maybe making miserable the lives of people who enforce the will of billionaires is a fun next step in the step-on-the-peons game the elite like to play.
