I don’t think that the French government will make money from the World Cup hosted in Canada, Mexico and the US.
So they’re bolstering the US economy for free then?
There’s so much more (taxable) revenue from the World Cup than just the ticket sales. Travel, merchandise, TV rights, sales later on from notariety, etc. Tbf I don’t have an exhaustive understanding of soccer profits so that’s not an exhaustive list, but I know a TON of money that trades hands around these events.
Isn’t France on of the top contenders? There’s absolutely a ton of money to be made by competing.
Sure he is threatening to start a war with us but not going to their world cup would be rude!

Personally I can’t imagine anyone willingly going to the US
Sports is just circus clowning that people started betting on.
I simply don’t believe that European countries will ever stand up for themselves against the US. It’s just so pathetic to watch.
