    I’m not sure Britain is the one we want to partner with. The British government (as opposed to its people) seems all too willing to join the line of people bending the knee to Trump.

    After Donald Trump’s tariff war began earlier this year, the two nations’ center-left governments agreed to accelerate efforts to revive their beleaguered trading relationship.

    Carney and Starmer’s governments are “center-left”? Despite their parties’ histories, they are both governing to the right of many conservatives of the past. I guess you have to be a fascist to count as right-wing these days.

    That said, it’s good that they’re realising the importance of working together.
