I’m also surprised to find that people found this particular episode slow. The episode was perfectly paced and set up for an excellent finale.

Do I think we could have reached the finale a different and perhaps faster way, probably. But I think the pacing has given me a lot more time to think about the show and it’s characters. I don’t think accepting this reality can be done in just a few episodes. You need to have Carol try and fail and explore and I think you need to do that at a slower pace.

It’s not just what Carol, the Hive and others do. It’s living with them and understanding their choices.
