Unless your literally incapable of helping for some reason (say mentally ill/handicapped/stupid) or 100% maxed out personally and stability is now a NEED not a want, you could do more and giving up is understandable at best but best be quiet about it as not to encourage other members of the species to do the same out of groupthink or misguided group justifications
