Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section has gone from 36 “experienced attorneys assigned full-time to investigate corrupt politicians and police officers” to two. That’s two as in double of one. The departures are a mix of firings, pressured or forced resignations, resignations on principle and reassignments.
Can we even undo all this damage when the current admin is out? People are so apathetic.
Undo? Nope. And they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
It will take many, many years to rebuild everything.

TYSM, I just skimmed it so I could answer but I’ll go back and read the whole thing after I reply.
I’m obviously not excited about the pain that’s coming, or that so many people who will suffer under this didn’t vote for it and in fact did their damnedest to warn us. But I do hope the fallout is bad enough that we end up better, eventually. I try to hold onto that when things are really bleak. I don’t want to go back to like, the Obama years. I want something better than that. Probably not much comfort to all the people who are going to literally die getting there.
