I’m not quite sure how ‘Envo’ from Canada came up with the idea of having the semi-enclosed vehicle built for the EU by ‘Geobike’ in Poland. But I’m pleased that things are moving forward at all on this topic.
If the price stays below 7500,- EUR, I could well imagine the bike for commuting from autumn to spring, for pensioners, or for families with child trailers.
Darn, that’s disappointing to hear. Oh well.
I suppose it wouldn’t be too difficult to add in doors by oneself.
A velomobile would also be cool (they hella look sci-fi!), but they have the downside of difficulty with looking around you, and have more difficulty with accelerating than a normal or normal electric bicycle. However, the velomobile would also be more energy efficient with speeds above 25 km/hr, due to less air friction. I think they’d be especially suitable for longer distances.
