          Their fault was believing the claim that the election was rigged, with literally zero evidence at all, on the word of a serial liar and known con man.

          But suppose there was hard evidence that democracy in America is a complete farce?

        If they truly believed their bullshit and weren’t dumbasses they would realize Jan6 played right into the hands of the ruling class. An armed insurrection is absolutely guranteed to stoke authoritarian centrism in a populace, preclude the possibility of actual reform and give permission for crackdowns on civil liberties and freedoms to evil people.

        A minority of people violently threatening a seat of government can never represent the interests of democracy, all that can happen is one illegitimate form of power displaces another.
